I’ve been using SumUp for my small weekend stall and the payout timing has been ridiculously good. Most of the payments show up in my bank within a day or so, and a few have even landed quicker than I expected. It’s nice not having to keep checking my account or chasing anything up. One payment over a weekend took a little longer, but that feels normal. Overall, I’m really happy with how fast the money comes through.

My first reaction was, “Oh nice, that was fast.” Most contactless payments go through really quickly, which is great for my small shop. I’ve only had a couple take a bit longer, and that was when the signal wasn’t great. Overall, I’m happy with it.

I been using SumUp for my invoices and it’s been simple. Sending them out is quick, and checking which ones are paid don’t take much time. No real hassle so far, it just works for what I need.

"Solid reader, but I’m still a bit disappointed"
I’ve been using my SumUp reader for a few months now, and to be fair, the build quality is really good. It feels solid in your hand, not cheap or flimsy, and the buttons still have a nice click to them. I’ve even dropped it once or twice and it kept working fine. For the price, I can’t really complain about the hardware, but I guess I was hoping to be a bit more impressed overall.

I’ve been using the SumUp app for my small jobs, it’s simple to get around. Payments show up clearly, the menus are where you’d actually expect them to be, and I didn’t have to waste half a day figuring out how to get started, which is always appreciated. I like being able to check my sales quickly from my phone without digging through a bunch of nonsense. No major issues so far, it does what I need it to do, which apparently isn’t too much to ask.

I like that there’s no long contract to deal with. It’s been working just fine for my small shop, that’s all I really needed.

I’ve been using this for a while now and, unlike some others I’ve tried, it hasn’t randomly dropped the connection on me. It just works every time, which apparently isn’t something every product can manage.

"Easy to use, but the fees sneak up on you"
I started using SumUp for my small shop because it seemed straightforward and didn’t look like it would be a hassle. To be fair, it does the job and it’s been easy to get on with. The only thing is, those transaction fees start to show up more than I expected, especially on smaller payments. By the end of the week, you definitely notice what’s gone out. It’s not a bad service, but if the costs stay the same, I might have to think twice about sticking with it.

"Refund handled without the stress"
I had a payment go through wrong my stomach dropped a bit because I was sure it was going to turn into one of those endless back-and-forth situations. I contacted sumup and they explained the refund really clearly, then it showed back in my account within the time they told me it would. I still remember the relief of checking and seeing it there. It wasn’t a big drama at all, which I really appreciated. Support got back to me quickly too, and I didn’t feel like I had to keep chasing them every day. Overall, really happy with how they handled it

"Still Waiting for a Real Reply"
I waited several days and still never got a proper response. I’m not sure if they’re understaffed or just not prioritizing customer messages, but it definitely felt like I was being ignored. Frustrating experience overall.

"Money Released Way Faster Than I Expected"
I was bracing myself for a long, stressful wait, but my money got released quicker than expected. Such a relief, it felt like a tiny miracle when I saw it come through!

"Battery Actually Holds Up"
I’ve been using my sumup card reader for a while now, the battery is surprisingly decent. I don’t have to keep charging it every five minutes, which is nice because apparently I have other things to do on busy days. It’s really handy when I’m out and about, and for once, there’s no drama, it just works

"Fast and Reliable Payments"
Payments go through really quickly, which has been such a nice change from my old card reader. I’m not standing around waiting or worrying if the transaction worked. It feels smooth, dependable, and gives me a lot more confidence when I’m helping customers

It was good enough for what I need, honestly. The only thing is the links load slow sometimes, which get a little annoying when I was trying to move around fast.

I kind of regret not using this earlier. It’s really easy to use, the payouts show up quickly, and I can check my money without dealing with any hassle...

"Easy enough to set up, but confusing in spots"
Setting up my SumUp wasn’t too bad and didn’t take very long. The app walked me through most of it, but a couple of steps were confusing and I felt a bit trapped, like I couldn’t move forward until I figured out what it wanted. I did get it working in the end, but clearer instructions would’ve made the whole thing a lot less frustrating...

"Account freeze was annoying, but fixed fast"
My account got put on hold, which definitely stressed me out at the time. I don’t remember all the little details now, mostly just that I was worried and support ended up sorting it out quickly. It wasn’t the best start, but once they checked everything, they unfroze it without much hassle.

"Signing up itself was straightforward, but…"
Signing up itself was straightforward, but the verification part took longer than I think it should have. They asked me for extra info, which I get is sometimes necessary, but then I was left waiting without much clarity. Support did get back to me eventually, so I wouldn’t call it a terrible experience, but it did feel a bit careless. If a company asks people to hand over more personal details, the least they can do is keep things moving and communicate better.

"Works fine but filters could be better"
The analytics work well and I can see what I need most of the time but the filters feel a bit limited. I wish there were more ways to narrow things down.

The reader has been dependable for me, which is what matters most. It does slow down every now and then, and that can be a little annoying, but overall I’d still say it’s a good value if you care more about reliability than speed
